Ants and Birds on Reddit
The Ant-Mote™ does more than protect your hummingbird feeders. Use The Ant-Mote™ for 1” poles and protect your seed feeder trays from unwanted infestations. Or use The Ant-Mote™ above your mealworms to create a one-stop birding oasis with food, water, and shelter.
The Ant-Mote™ for 1” Poles Is Now Available
The Ant-Mote™ for 1” poles is now available as a bird feeder ant moat designed to help stop ants, protect hummingbird feeders, and support clean bird feeding stations. Compatible with WBU’s APS, this 1-inch pole ant control solution helps reduce feeder contamination and creates a more bird-friendly backyard setup for birders looking for reliable ant prevention.
Keeping The Ant-Mote™ Sparkling Clean
Here are some simple steps and things to consider if you want to keep your pole-mounted ant moat looking clean and sparkling fresh.
When to put your hummingbird feeder and The Ant-Mote™ outside.
Well, that depends on where you live. We are located in New Jersey so we do not see hummingbirds until April. If you live in California, as many of our bird-loving friends do, you have Anna’s hummingbirds that don’t migrate so it makes sense to keep your feeders topped off all year long. How lucky are they!
GO BIRDS!!!!!!!
GO BIRDS!!!!!!!
We all cheer for that in the spring, summer, and fall (for hummingbirds especially).
But this cheer is for a special group of birds, the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, for having a very strong win at the Super Bowl.
CONGRATULATIONS!
FAQ: Can I leave The Ant-Mote™ outside in winter?
Does this mean The Ant-Mote™ can and should be left out all winter? We do not recommend it, and here’s why. Despite using extremely high-quality materials there is no way around the fact that the cycles of extreme heat and cold temperatures will take their toll on your product. The best strategy for maintaining the longest lifespan of your Ant-Mote is to take it and the pole it is mounted on inside for the winter when, like the photo above, it is likely that snow and ice would accumulate inside the moat.
